BACKSTORY

Chloe von Lilutia was born into nobility and classically trained in the arts from a young age. She showed promise and was soon commissioned by wealthy clients. Hers was a budding enterprise from the start, though she felt cursed to be a perfectionist who was never truly happy with the way her art looked. Chloe was plenty successful, of course, and her name was soon known throughout the kingdom, but she always felt held back. She trudged on, slowly, jealously; cursing her human hand for not painting faster or better.

During her adulthood, Chloe met a demon who proposed what sounded like a dream come true to her - she could make a pact with it and overcome the mortal limitations holding back her art. She accepted eagerly, of course. Demons need malice to feed on, so she has to do some shady business to overcome her artist's block... but that's a business secret, alright? As far as everyone else knows, she just got better at managing her time and putting her visions on the canvas. Chloe von Lilutia is now a world-renowned signature, coveted by any nobleman worth their merit looking for a portrait.
